It had been a long time since I had visited The Original Rib Tickler in Tomball. I’m so glad I went back. The barbecue here is better even than I had remembered. The lean brisket was moist and flavorful. The sausage had a nice grind and great flavor. And the ribs were outstanding – fall-off-the-bone tender with great flavor (a bit of sweet and a bit of zingy kick). I tried the chicken chili as a side, and it was so tasty. I also had to try the chicken and sausage gumbo. It was my least favorite item, but still plenty good. This place has been in Tomball forever (seriously, since 1984). And anyone in the barbecue business in Texas who can stay in business that long is obviously doing something right. These guys just do very tasty barbecue. Period. So go give them a try.
