I had to do a shout out to City Meat Market in Giddings. They didn’t make the Texas Monthly BBQ 2017 Top 10 this year, but their ‘cue is still amazing, especially the pork ribs. The ribs are so good that no sauce is either needed or wanted. They’re fall-off-the-bone tender and the rub they use is so delicious. If you find yourself on 290 between Houston and Austin, it is totally worth stopping at this very eclectic place in the heart of downtown Giddings.
